Coffee Ritual Noren – Hand-Painted Acrylic on Ramie
A hand-painted noren inspired by the quiet rhythm of making coffee—the beans, the kettle, and the first warm cup of the day.
Coffee-related motifs are painted individually in white acrylic across a warm earthy-brown ground. The simple repetition creates a graphic but familiar composition, while the visible ramie weave keeps the piece natural and relaxed rather than overly polished.
The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and semi-sheer. It gently filters light, maintains airflow, and provides partial visual privacy without fully closing off the room. Ramie also retains a naturally structured body, allowing the curtain to hang with a cleaner form rather than a soft, floppy drape.
Suggested Uses
Place it at:
A kitchen or pantry entrance
A breakfast nook or dining-room opening
A home coffee bar
A café, bakery, or coffee-shop doorway
A restaurant service area
A home office or creative studio
A hallway or small room entrance
A decorative wall display in a kitchen or dining area
Installation
For a minimal, no-drill installation, place the noren inside the doorway with a tension rod.
For wider coverage or a more visible presentation, mount a curtain rod above or outside the opening.
The curtain is finished with a flat straight rod pocket. Rod and installation hardware are not included.

Care
Professional dry clean only. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, scrub, or rub the painted surface. Avoid bleach, chemical detergents, alcohol, and disinfecting sprays. Remove surface dust gently and iron from the reverse side on a low setting. Keep away from open flame and high heat.
Handmade Character
Each Coffee Ritual Noren is painted individually by hand. Variations in brush movement, motif edges, paint density, weave, and placement are inherent to the process and should not be considered defects.
For best longevity, keep the curtain indoors or in a protected, sheltered location away from prolonged direct sunlight, rain, and moisture.
